NuSuara’s advanced speech technology is used for Malaysia Airports’ voice-activated flight information system for Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2.

With FISS, one can now obtain flight information through the telephone using speech command. The platform for this system is based on the NuSuara Interactive Voice Response (IVR) together with our Automatic Speech Recogniser (ASR).

Callers call the KLIA airport information system hotline and inquire with their voice input indicating flight number or city name. The system is available on a 24-hour basis providing latest up-to-date flight information, including flight delays.

The voice-activated solution provides convenience especially when one is on the move and there is no need for callers to key-in any information. The system is supported by 60 lines with language options in English and Malay to allow many calls to be handled concurrently. Data such as callers’ phone numbers and countries they requested are collected for analysis of flight demand, flight origin, etc.
